Seedlings

At Tropical Cacao, our journey begins with seedling we plant. We believe in creating a solid foundation, which is why we source our seedlings from a trusted and reputable source: the World Bank Group. Their commitment to agricultural sustainability and development aligns with our ethos of promoting eco-conscious farming practices. The partnership between Tropical Cacao and the World Bank Group is a testament to our dedication to quality and sustainability right from the outset.

In the year 2020, we embarked on a significant phase of our plantation’s growth by planting Theobroma cacao seedlings. These aren’t just any cacao seedlings; they are a blend of robust and high-yielding varieties which are known for their resilience to diseases and climate changes. This choice ensures that our cacao trees are hearty, capable of thriving in the diverse weather conditions of our tropical paradise.

As we step into 2024, we are on the cusp of seeing the fruits of our labor. The hybrid Theobroma cacao trees are maturing and will soon begin to grow cacao pods. This marks an exciting milestone in our journey as we inch closer to producing rich, flavorful cacao beans. The anticipation buzzes in the air as we meticulously care for our growing trees, knowing that each pod holds the promise of exquisite chocolate that embodies the unique terroir of our plantation.

Our team of dedicated farmers and agronomists are tirelessly working to ensure the optimum health and productivity of our cacao trees. We employ organic farming techniques and adhere to the principles of sustainable agriculture to nurture our trees. The result? A bounty of cacao pods that are not only superior in quality but grown with a love for nature and a vision for a sustainable future.

We invite you to be part of our cacao journey, to experience the authentic, earthy flavors of our cacao beans, and to discover the story in every pod harvested from the lush, fertile grounds of Tropical Cacao.
